As an indexer and a librarian, my goal is to help people find the information they need and want in a timely manner. I feel that my continuing work as a librarian keeps me in touch how people actually use indexes, how they search for information. Novice information seekers seldom think about a subject in the same way an expert does. I strive to meet the needs of the author, the publisher, and the reader.
